What this site collects, and how to opt out

No accounts, no cookies, no personal data

This site has no user accounts, no login, and does not use cookies. Nothing you enter is collected, because there is nothing to enter beyond choosing a region or a chart view.

Aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site, so we can tell whether pages are working and being used. It:

• does not use cookies or any persistent device identifier;
• does not build a profile of you or track you across sites;
• only produces aggregate counts (e.g. how many people visited a page), never information that identifies an individual visitor.

In the UK, because its sole purpose is understanding how the site is used — not identifying, tracking or profiling anyone — it relies on the "statistical purposes" exception in the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), rather than a consent banner. That exception still requires us to tell you clearly what happens and give you a simple way to say no, which is exactly what this page and the toggle below do.

In the EU/EEA, the equivalent exception is narrower and generally only covers analytics that never involve a third-party domain at all. Cloudflare Web Analytics is loaded from Cloudflare's own domain (static.cloudflareinsights.com) rather than being fully self-hosted, so we don't rely on that narrower exception there. Instead, if this page detects you're visiting from an EU/EEA country (from your network's own location, via Cloudflare's edge — not a separate location lookup), you're shown a short accept/reject choice before analytics loads at all, and it only loads if you choose Accept.

This sets a preference stored only in your own browser (localStorage, not a cookie); it is never sent anywhere. It affects only this browser and device.

If you're visiting from the EU/EEA and rejected analytics when asked, this toggle shows the same "off" state — turning it back "on" here re-asks the same accept/reject choice on your next page load, rather than silently re-enabling analytics without your say-so.

Server logs

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare, as our hosting provider, retains standard web-server request logs (e.g. IP address, requested path, timestamp) for a limited period for security and reliability purposes, as any web host does. This site itself does not read, store or process those logs.

What the site stores in your browser

Beyond the analytics opt-out above, this site stores a few small, functional preferences directly in your browser, never sent to us or anyone else:

• your light/dark theme choice;
• the last region you viewed (for the US and Ireland pages), so it's remembered next visit;
• a local cache of the last successful reading, so the page can still show something if you're briefly offline;
• if you're in the EU/EEA and were shown the analytics choice above, whether you accepted it.
